braid. bun. go.

If you can make a braid and a bun, you can do this two-step hairstyle. I get lots of compliments when I wear this hairstyle because it's polished, but more interesting than a standard bun.

First step: braid your hair down the middle of your back and tie with a clear elastic. Next and last step: Wrap the braid around itself like you're making a bun and then use another clear elastic to hold it in place. (The spin pin didn't work as well here as an elastic). I kept the end of the braid loose for visual interest.

You can wear this high or low on your head, depending on the look you want. Here, it was a low bun for work. This is also a really easy style to wear when you have wet hair and need to pull it  back.

If you wear your hair the same way nearly every day, try this easy style to mix things up!

  9. ooh Brooke, what a great post. I like how you left a bit of the end out, it adds just the right amount of edge. I wish I saw this post before I left the house this morning, I bet I'd be having a much better hair day!

  11. I always wear my hair down. Pony tails give me headaches and they never stay in. I don't know how Kim K does it! I always want to try different things with my hair but it never seems to stay. But I will keep trying. Thanks for this heads up.

  18. Thanks for this tutorial. A low bun always looked best for my head shape when I had longer hair.
