Throughout college I had a signature scent (Issey Miyake), but I haven't really stuck to one since. I've liked having this aromatic variety so I only buy travel size perfumes, usually rollerballs. This is one I've been wearing for work because it smells fresh, but sophisticated (and it makes me feel Parisian):
Travel size perfumes are usually $25 or less (Sephora carries a ton of them), so it's easy to buy a few and mix up your scents depending on the time of year or what you're up to:working in an office, partying out on the town, or lounging on the weekend. Here's my casual, weekend smell because it's fruity and sweet:
I've read that perfumes can go bad or change their scent if you have them for longer than a year, but who can use up all the perfume in a regular size bottle (1 or 2 ounces) in a year?! I never could and I couldn't be bothered to keep the perfume in the refrigerator to maintain freshness, as some people recommend. Travel sizes solve that problem. Here's my night out scent because it's playful and feminine:
Great idea - I was just thinking the other day that I have a 3 year old bottle of Vera Wang Lovestruck (that I really never wear) but feel bad throwing out. I really should just purchase the travel sizes of fragrances that aren't long-time staples so they don't go to waste! I do love the way a pretty perfume bottle looks on the vanity though...
Chloe is my fave perfume - I'm on my third rollerball and finally bought the perfume recently too :) xA
