chapeux for winter, part un

During Boston winters, hats aren't just a fashion statement (or devices to cover up uncooperative hair), they're a necessity. I have many types of chapeaux, but want to show two different styles I've been wearing recently to keep my head and ears warm. First up: a floppy, bohemian, felt hat.

I really love this hat because it looks super chic but also has an effortless quality about it. For a hat like this, I think it's best to wear with a longish top or jacket to keep a flowy feeling to your overall look. This hat will cooperate with and enhance both casual and more fancy outfits.
Next up is a chapeau for which I don't have a style name. I recently bought this hat when I was in Nashville and I like its soft texture, the large brim, and the buttons.

Hat, Grace Hats (somewhat similar here and here)
This hat is best worn with more casual outfits, since the material and style are themselves more casual. I love to pair this with pieces that evoke the countryside or easy weekends.
I think it doesn't always matter what hat style you put on because as long as you're confident wearing it, you will look on trend. What styles of hats are you loving these days?

  16. Your hats are super cute! The only problem is that for me, floppy hats blow off when it is windy. I adore all types of hats: beanies, berets, cloches, baseball hats, bowlers, etc. An ideal way to protect the hair and stay warm!
